A store is more than just a space for transactions; it is a carefully curated environment where the needs of both the seller and the buyer must be harmoniously met. BDF embodies this symbiotic design approach, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetic appeal to create a smooth shopping experience. This project encompasses not only remodelling and expansion but also meticulous attention to interior and facade design.

The journey begins even before entering the store, with the bold use of teal on a multiple height facade rising to draw attention and creating a vibrant atmosphere. A tall arched display window further strengthens the brand identity amidst a crowded commercial area. Upon stepping inside, vaults on the ground floor echo the arch on the facade, evoking a sense of grandeur and spaciousness that sets the tone for the entire space.

Separate entry and exit points are strategically designed to optimise traffic flow both within and outside the store, contributing to a seamless shopping experience. The interior space is divided into four zones, each serving a specific purpose and connected by a split level on the ground floor, a light and transparent staircase vertically. the split level provides a gradual transition as well as a natural pause space to host grab-and-go refrigerated products, adding convenience. The stair features luxurious marble steps and gold details against a backdrop of parqueted wood. Furthermore, lights especially imported from France for their minimum heat emission, crucial for heat-sensitive products, add a classic charm. This harmonious blend of materials and design elements creates an inviting and cohesive environment that encourages exploration.  

Adhering to retail design principles, the layout ensures that customer movement maximizes exposure to every product. Flexible modules for seasonal displays and counters enable effortless customization and rearrangement, ensuring the space remains dynamic. The design ethos focuses on providing a seamless and visually engaging journey for customers. By ensuring continuity of view upon entrance, every corner of the store becomes visible and welcoming. Retail islands strategically placed around columns are a testament of the architects’ expertise of utilising every inch of a space to its maximum potential.

Transitioning to the mezzanine level, the design continues to impress with false ceilings in shorter layers, creating depth and an ambiance of sophistication. The interactive gift-wrapping area, with every option clearly labelled and accessible, adds a personalized touch, further enhancing the clients’ experience.
